#2 Stat Distribution Visual Improvements to Artifact Gear

Hi everyone,

We have seen reports that the way stats are distributed in Artifact quality gear containing Crit Rating is causing confusion when compared to Prototype quality gear with Crit Rating. Our intent is that the Artifact gear should clearly look and feel like an upgrade and so we have adjusted the stat distribution of the Artifact gear to be more noticeably stronger to player. The result of this change for players is that any Artifact quality gear with Crit Rating will look and feel stronger than Prototype quality versions.

On live, when players compare some Artifact gear to its Prototype counterpart, they'll see Mastery, Endurance, and Critical Rating all decrease while Power Increases. Players have reported that it's difficult to determine which gear is an upgrade and which isn't.

This gear will be updated to show that when comparing Artifact to Prototype, players will see a large gain in Power and a loss of Endurance, but no change to Mastery or Critical Rating. This will make it easier to determine the Artifact gear is more powerful. Players can see this change on PTS right now.

Example:

What is currently live:

Columi Targeter's Leggings- Rating 320 (blue)
  • Key Stats: 1464 Armor
  • +995 Mastery (-22)
  • +1263 Endurance (-4)
  • +655 Power (+105)
  • +499 Critical Rating (-49)

Compared to

Rakata Target's Leggings - Rating 320 (purple)
  • Key Stats: 1464
  • +973 Mastery
  • +1259 Endurance
  • +760 Power
  • +450 Critical Rating

AFTER THE CHANGE

Columi Targeter's Leggings- Rating 320 (blue)
  • Key Stats: 1464 Armor
  • +995 Mastery
  • +1263 Endurance (-90)
  • +655 Power (+105)
  • +499 Critical Rating

Compared to

Rakata Target's Leggings - Rating 320 (purple)
  • Key Stats: 1464
  • +995 Mastery
  • +1173 Endurance
