Bug Report Sub-Forum Guidelines

Hello everyone,

In an effort to keep information in one spot, we are working to consolidate the stickied threads, update the info obtained from them, and will update this post as necessary. Treat this as a living document. Please read this post thoroughly as it contains a lot of information.

General guidelines about reporting bugs
  • Please search threads to see if someone else has already created a bug report and add to that instead of creating a new thread. This not only helps keep info in one spot, but it is also easier to update one thread with a resolution/answer rather than tracking down multiple. Duplicate threads can be deleted, merged, or locked.
  • Create one thread for each unique bug. This assists with tracking and keeping conversation and additional reporting to one issue at a time.
  • This sub-forum is used specifically for game bugs. If you need support for the following, please follow the respective steps:
For tech issues that are not bugs, please go here https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-...ld-republic-en Answers HQ is a great resource for people with technical support or other general game needs.
For issues concerning your account, please go here https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-...swtor-support/
  • Exploits and/or Terms of Service violations should be reported in-game or privately to the account CommunityTeam, or to a Community Manager.
  • Suggestion and feedback threads will be moved to the appropriate location or deleted if they are duplicates.

How to report a bug
  • Players can create threads here to report bugs.
  • Players can submit bugs in-game by using /bug in chat. Be sure to select Bug Report in the dropdown so the report is sent to the appropriate team.

What to include in your bug report
  • Screenshots and videos are always helpful.
  • Details. The more, the better. Give us full names of NPCs, gear pieces, locations, abilities, step by step in how to reproduce the issue, etc If we cannot reproduce a bug, we will not be able to fix it.

Content that is (or becomes) inappropriate for the Bug Report sub -forums may be closed or removed without warning or notice. There are a few cases where other actions will occur (such as multiple threads being merged), but closure and removal are the most common things that will happen. Repeatedly posting inappropriate threads or posts can result in warnings or infractions.

Please note that while we will be reading the reports here in this forum, we will not respond to every thread. Additionally, a developer response in a thread is not an indication of the significance, priority, severity of a bug, or a guarantee that the bug will be fixed.

Feel free to use this specific thread to reply with ways to improve or clarify some of the information in this post.

Thank you!

Wanted to chime in and say the team is paying attention to and monitoring feedback.

To everyone in this thread, I also wanted to give a heads up that I will be moving this thread to the PvP sub-forum.

Any chance there might be an incoming yellow dev post soon regarding the issues discussed here and in many other threads for the last 3 months?
I am unable to give out a timeline of when devs respond to threads as I don't want to make promises such as 'someone will reply on a daily/weekly basis'. However, I can say that I am helping the team keep an eye on feedback that is being posted. One of my highest priorities is to remain active in the forums (outside of posting) to understand community sentiment across the board.

Minor Rampage Achievement Boost does not double all kill counts

Hi RameiArashi,

Can you please provide info for the following questions?
  • Did you consume the item to yourself once you got to the area, or before going to the area?

Which companions are you using and not seeing double increments?.

Where were you when it appeared it stopped working?

    Which enemies are you fighting?

Is it possible you are looking at Conquest Objectives and not Achievements?

Important to note that this does not increment Conquest Objective counts - so going into CZ-198, for example, will still require 25 unique kills for the CZ-198 Defeat Enemies Conquest Objective.

Below the list of the known issues, you may experience while testing the changes to Amplifiers and Uprisings.
  • Some text is not being displayed properly for Rarity Locking, but the locking feature and price are working correctly.

Hello everyone!

PTS is now live! Players can experience the changes to Amplifiers and Uprisings.

Amplifiers
The team reorganized the Amplifiers user interface (UI) for a better browsing experience. Previously, Amplifiers were organized in alphabetical order. Now, they are organized with a tree-based view:
Players can expand a specific Amplifier type to see all the Amplifiers available in that category or collapse the category to hide them. This change also reduces the default list.

A new tier of Rarity has been added to improve the visibility and readability of Amplifiers. In addition to the existing tiers: the Premium (Green), Prototype (Blue), Artifact (Purple), and Legendary (Gold) tiers, there is now a rarity for the lowest tier: Standard (White). No Amplifier values and no odds to obtain specific Amplifiers have been changed.

Were also introducing Rarity Locking as a way for players to exchange credits for greater chances at obtaining the Amplifiers they want. This feature is costly due to the improvements it grants, so it has been coupled with the Weekly Cost Reset to allow players to save credits by waiting for more re-rolls.

Every re-roll of an amplifier increases the cost, up to 100 re-rolls. Each Tuesday, re-roll costs will be reset to their starting costs!

PTS on Steam missing!

Hey folks,

Yup, apologies for any confusion for our Steam users. Currently, you will not be able to access 6.2.1 on PTS. We removed PTS functionality as part of our update to direct patching on Steam. We are working to get PTS available for you as soon as possible but in this case 6.2.1 was ready faster than our Steam functionality was. We didn't want to hold up testing while we continue to work on it.

To set some expectations, it is possible that 6.2.1's PTS cycle will complete before PTS is available for Steam. You can still access PTS though if you have access to the game outside of Steam. We know this isn't ideal but as soon as we have any updates about timing we will let you know.

Thanks for understanding. We will make sure this information is updated in our PTS communications.
