Wayleran created an AutoHotkey script to enable a more "Action Combat" style of play for SWTOR.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept of a "MouseLook" script what it does, it simulates holding down the Right Mouse Button leaving you with a more "FPS" style of camera control AND while in that "MouseLook" mode you are able to use your mouse buttons to fire off skills on your action bar.
For instance if you "toggle on" MouseLook you'll get a small crosshair on-screen (only in Fullscreen(Windowed) mode) and you can simply move the camera around with the mouse and not have to hold down the Right Mouse Button.
In MouseLook mode:
- Left Button - 1, (will also optionally target the enemy in the center of your screen)
- Right Button - 2 (tap), Loot/Interact (long press)
- Scroll Wheel Up - 3
- Scroll Wheel Down - 4
- Middle Button (click scroll wheel) - 5
- Mouse Button 4 (thumb button if you have one) - 6
By default the tilda key (~) will toggle MouseLook mode on/off. It's the one to the left of the 1 key on your keyboard. Also while in MouseLook mode HOLDING DOWN the Right Button will "loot/interact", while tapping it sends 2. And the AutoHotkey script can detect if you enter a cutscene or open an interface item (like inventory) and will toggle off MouseLook mode automatically.
You can also use your own custom "crosshairs" AND I also included my custom GUI and keybindings that work really well.
If you are having issues with non-English keyboard layouts then you can change the toggle keybind from tilde (`) to something more appropriate.
Is this legal you may ask?
Well, yes. According to the SWTOR/EA TOS AutoHotkey and other programs like it are fine to use as long as they don't modify the game client in anyway (which this of course doesn't at all) OR "AUTOMATE" input while you are AFK (this is considered "botting" and this script in NO WAY automates things like that. You need to BE THERE AT YOUR PC and actually interact with the game in order for things to happen).
Try it and I think most of you will LOVE how it makes combat much more fluid and fun, while still maintaining all the usability of the game's UI.

This tool requires AutoHotKey to work. AutoHotkey is a free, open-source custom scripting language for Microsoft Windows, initially aimed at providing easy keyboard shortcuts or hotkeys, fast macro-creation and software automation that allows users of most levels of computer skill to automate repetitive tasks in any Windows application.
NOTE: RUN AUTOHOTKEY AS ADMINISTRATOR TO AVOID ISSUES.
Once you have AutoHotKey, you can download and run the tool from the link below:
