Hey there folks,

Great catch! The changes mentioned were ones that I made quickly in response to balance issues I saw after 5.5. There was a long-ish delay between when I made the adjustments and when the patch notes were being collated for 5.6. I simply forgot that these needed to be included in the 5.6 patch notes. I'll do my best to avoid doing that in the future. There certainly was no intent make "ninja" changes. The intent was simply to make responsive changes to aspects of GSF that still needed additional love.

I hope that helps explain.

Thanks,

Bret

"Daily" Areas Now Grant A Weekly Mission And Lose The Area Completion Daily. Why?

Hey folks,

Ok, let's talk about what changed in 5.6 and what is changing in 5.6.1 since they are tied together.

5.6 - In this Game Update we removed the Galactic Command interface from the game along with changing Group Finder to Activity Finder. As a part of this change some Missions were removed from the game as they were explicitly tied into either Galactic Command or Group Finder respectively. This is why the Daily Mission to send you to the those areas is no longer there. The weekly is intended to be the "wrapper" Mission for all of the dailies in that area, which is a change we made coming off of the "bugged" CXP values previously. This was a part of the steps we were taking to re-balance CXP across the game but it was missing one part...

5.6.1 - The lack of that Daily Mission means you actually get less CXP than you did previously from the Daily areas, which is not something we want. In fact, we want you to get a lot more CXP from solo Missions in the game. In Game Update 5.6.1 all of the Planetary Heroic Missions and Daily Area Missions are going to have their CXP rewards tripled to 225 CXP per Mission (up from 75).

Our goal with this change is that both Planetary Heroics and Daily Area Missions are great sources of CXP for solo players. These changes in 5.6.1 along with all of the other increased rewards for both group and solo in Activity Finder means you can gain Command Ranks quicker than ever in whatever activities you choose to play.

Thanks everyone.

PS As an added aside due to a separate change we made, each Planetary Heroic Mission will now also gain the bonus from the Planetary Heroic Highlight. Previously this only affected the mission which you gained from Galactic Command.

I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks!!
What you are describing certainly sounds like a bug. Is this happening after the match, from the solo ranked mission, or both?

I will pass it on to the team.

#5 Known Issues: Game Update 5.6

Hey folks,

One more known issue for the list. A handful of Disciplines are currently performing better than they should be. This is due to a number of unintended passive benefits which are applying to them. There is no in-game indication on your character of whether or not it is applying to you, but it is a bug related to some set bonuses. This will be addressed in a future update. If you notice you are healing for or doing more damage than usual, this is why.

Hey folks,

There were some nerfs applied to the EMP weaponry with this last patch. However, there was one bug introduced on EMP missile. The intended functionality is:

Primary target received 100% damage.
Players enemies within the AoE sphere receive 50% damage.
No-player enemies within the AoE sphere receive 100% damage.

This bug should be fixed with 5.6.1. I hope this helps to clarify.

Oh! Yes, purchasing the cheap companion gifts is 100% fine. It was purchasing the free ones that was the problem.

Hey folks,

One more addition to the list. Shortly after launching 5.6 an exploit was brought to our attention. It allowed players to buy companion gifts for free and then sell them back to the vendor for credits. Allowing them to gain a large quantity of credits very quickly. We are investigating this exploit and will be taking appropriate action against individuals who abused it.

We were able to make a quick-fix to the issue without taking the servers down, but it created a bug we will be addressing in the future. Here is the new known issue:
  • The vendor Tahoota on the Imperial Fleet is selling various companion gifts that do not list a purchase price (but they do have one). When purchased, they can be bought for cheaper than is intended and will be addressed in a future update.

Thanks everyone.

What went wrong? According to:
http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20171102

" Darth Hexid will join forces with players who complete three PvE or three PvP missions through Group Finder between November 8 - 27, 2017. Beginning November 28th, you can recruit Darth Hexid as part of a mission on the planet of Odessen once you complete the Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion story. If youd like to battle with Hexid by your side immediately, you can unlock her as a companion at any time via your in-game mail. "

Shouldn't she be in all my mailboxes?
As some others in the thread have mentioned, verify that you did in face get the United Forces PvP Achievement. If you did, we discovered that some individuals who completed the requirements very close to the deadline may have been missed on Tuesday. We are looking at getting Hexid and/or the mini-pet granted to them soon, hopefully by end of week.

Hope that helps.

[Bug] Game Update 5.6: Various Chestpieces Have Colors Switched

Hey folks,

The team is looking into the color switch that happened on some chest pieces. We are looking at getting it addressed as soon as we can (but it will require a patch) and the goal is that we will just revert it back to how it looked previously.

I will pass on more info as I have it.
