I want to add some clarification to my original post. I mentioned that we are targeting Game Update 4.3 to have these fixed. The reason I stated 4.3 is that this would give us a buffer of time to make, test, and implement the changes.

However, I do want to note that we are actually quite hopeful that we can make these changes for 4.2. In this instance I wanted to play it safe as I would rather tell you it is fixed sooner than you expected, than say 4.2 and push it out. I will continue to provide you updates as I have them. I just wanted to alleviate some of your concerns. We are working to get this fixed as soon as possible!

It is our goal that the emails will all be sent today. However, it is possible that they wont go out until tomorrow.

Hey there,

Having your referral link in your signature is a perfect place for it, and is in no way against the rules. We won't take any action against someone who has a referral link in their signature, so go for it!

A referral link can only get you into trouble if you are spamming it in threads/posts around the forums. That is something we consider against the rules. I hope that clears up any confusion.

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know of a few things we are looking to fix in a patch next week. I don't have any dates/times yet, but the team is working to get these as soon as possible:
  • 212, 216, and 220 crafted Relics being Bind on Pickup instead of Bind on Equip.
  • It is possible to get in a state where you cannot complete Chapter X.
  • It is not possible to complete the Alliance Alert "To Find a Findsman" if you start Chapter X.
  • It's possible to lose items if you use the "Sort by Quality" function of the Cargo Hold.

Once I get a date and time I will make sure to post it! If the list changes at all, I will update this post as well.

I talked with the dev team and here is what I found out. With 4.0 it was changed that all Artifact mods now require Artifact quality Slicing materials. This was done to ensure the value of lower level Slicing materials across all Grades. Artifact quality mods and Artifact quality augments now have that same material cost.

In addition to this, all Artifact quality gear (Armor, Weapons, etc) now require a Prototype quality Slicing material. This was also done to bring value to all Grades of Prototype Slicing materials. The exception to this would be items that require exotic materials, such as rating 212 items.

Players can still craft all Prototype quality items without the need of any Slicing materials, however once a player decides to go for Artifact quality, they will need Slicing materials. For example, Prototype quality augments no longer require Slicing materials as they did in the past.

I know this question will come up a bit. From the homepage (www.swtor.com), login and then click on your username in the top right corner and go to account. From there go to the Basic Information tab and scroll down. You will see three check boxes, you only need to opt in to SWTOR emails.
