Good question! Currently, GSF is a great source of both Components and CXP so we really wanted to focus on getting Warzones to a better place with 5.1.2. After the changes go live Tuesday we will continue to monitor to see how Component gains look. We are absolutely open to adding Components to those Missions in the future if needed.

Hey folks,

As I mentioned in the GC roadmap thread, 5.1.2 at the end of February will bring a lot of changes to Missions and Unassembled Components. For this post I want to focus on Unassembled Components and the specific changes that you can expect. Below you will find the new values along with what their old values were.
  • Warzone Win: 8 (up from 5)
  • Warzone Loss: 3 (up from 2)
  • Arena Win: 4 (up from 3)
  • Arena Loss: 2 (up from 1)
  • Solo Ranked Win: 8 (up from 5)
  • Solo Ranked Loss: 3 (up from 2)
  • Group Ranked Win: 10 (up from 8)
  • Group Ranked Loss: 4 (up from 3)
  • GSF Win: 8 (stays the same)
  • GSF Loss: 3 (stays the same)

Currently in the game, PvP Missions do not award any Unassembled Components. In 5.1.2 we will be adding them onto all of the Mission rewards. Here are their values:
  • Warzone Daily: 12
  • Warzone Weekly: 40
  • Solo Ranked Daily: 16
  • Solo Ranked Weekly: 30
  • Group Ranked Solo: 20
  • Group Ranked Weekly: 60

These are the adjusted Component rates coming in 5.1.2 on Feb 28. Thanks everyone.

We are still finalizing exact details but it is very likely we will be at Celebration. Currently it looks to be be off-site, such as a Cantina and not a show floor presence.

We are looking to announce more specifics in the next week or two!

This^. I can confirm that we are still on track for next week. I am working on getting expanded details out this week, such as the buffed Component rates.

Thanks!

How can I get a Dev's attention to stop the cheating on Zakuul???

The cheating on Zakuul in the gathering areas is ridiculously bad. People (gold sellers) have figured out how to play and move outside the environment. Yes, I am putting this here because mayb,e maybe it will get a DEV'S attention and they'll DO SOMETHING about it!!! I tried tickets... 3 times. I get the standard, automated response. But nothing has changed. They're worse.

BIOWARE STOP THE GOLD SELLERS FROM GETTING ALL THE MATS IN ZAKUUL BY CHEATING. please???

I am TRYING to get a devs attention. I hope this works. They need to take a human and go there and see what's happening. Watch the un-attended companions who are looking at the floor becaus ethe player us UNDER the floor.

PLEASE??????
Hey there,

First and most importantly, we are actively looking into the reports about what is happening on Zakuul so thank you and all the others who have reported it to us.

I did want to use this opportunity as a reminder on how to report these issues. Definitely submit a bug report/contact CS if you see something suspicious. It is possible that you may get a standard response, but that does not mean the issue wasnt forwarded onto the dev team. In fact, CS forwarded this very issue to us from player reports! Also, as some others have mentioned in the thread, send a PM via the forums to myself and/or Tait and we can pass on that information. We do our best to respond to all of our PMs but even when we don't, know that we are reading them and sending them on. Especially when it relates to potentially serious issues such as exploits.

Thanks everyone.

#3 This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again.

Hey folks,

There are two ways to work around the issue while we work to address it. Note that this only affects users on the BitRaider version of the launcher.
  • Restarting your launcher can clear up the issue, it may require multiple restarts.
  • Delete the BitRaider folder from your SWTOR directory.
Neither of these are guaranteed fixes, but they can work. I will pass on more updates as I have them.

What's going to happen with CG when 5.2 hits?

However, what is going to happen when 5.2 hits? Currently, the patch notes say that 250% boost is only going to last until 5.2. Are we going to completely loose this boost and go back to grinding 1 crate every 1.5 - 2 hours? The current 250% boost needs to become the permanent rate of CXP gains.
Good question! In short, when the event ends in 5.2 we are going to also readjust the CXP rates at the same time. The intent is to buff CXP above what it was prior to the event. How high we buff it remains to be seen, but our intent is definitely that you get a crate faster than you did before 5.1.1. Once we get closer to 5.2 I should have more details on what CXP gains will look like.
