The cheating on Zakuul in the gathering areas is ridiculously bad. People (gold sellers) have figured out how to play and move outside the environment. Yes, I am putting this here because mayb,e maybe it will get a DEV'S attention and they'll DO SOMETHING about it!!! I tried tickets... 3 times. I get the standard, automated response. But nothing has changed. They're worse.

BIOWARE STOP THE GOLD SELLERS FROM GETTING ALL THE MATS IN ZAKUUL BY CHEATING. please???

I am TRYING to get a devs attention. I hope this works. They need to take a human and go there and see what's happening. Watch the un-attended companions who are looking at the floor becaus ethe player us UNDER the floor.

PLEASE??????
Hey there,

First and most importantly, we are actively looking into the reports about what is happening on Zakuul so thank you and all the others who have reported it to us.

I did want to use this opportunity as a reminder on how to report these issues. Definitely submit a bug report/contact CS if you see something suspicious. It is possible that you may get a standard response, but that does not mean the issue wasnt forwarded onto the dev team. In fact, CS forwarded this very issue to us from player reports! Also, as some others have mentioned in the thread, send a PM via the forums to myself and/or Tait and we can pass on that information. We do our best to respond to all of our PMs but even when we don't, know that we are reading them and sending them on. Especially when it relates to potentially serious issues such as exploits.

Thanks everyone.

Hey folks,

There are two ways to work around the issue while we work to address it. Note that this only affects users on the BitRaider version of the launcher.
  • Restarting your launcher can clear up the issue, it may require multiple restarts.
  • Delete the BitRaider folder from your SWTOR directory.
Neither of these are guaranteed fixes, but they can work. I will pass on more updates as I have them.

What's going to happen with CG when 5.2 hits?

However, what is going to happen when 5.2 hits? Currently, the patch notes say that 250% boost is only going to last until 5.2. Are we going to completely loose this boost and go back to grinding 1 crate every 1.5 - 2 hours? The current 250% boost needs to become the permanent rate of CXP gains.
Good question! In short, when the event ends in 5.2 we are going to also readjust the CXP rates at the same time. The intent is to buff CXP above what it was prior to the event. How high we buff it remains to be seen, but our intent is definitely that you get a crate faster than you did before 5.1.1. Once we get closer to 5.2 I should have more details on what CXP gains will look like.

This is great news, thanks very much!

One important point though. please can you try to make the Acute Module NOT require an active subscription? (it did last time). That is, make it available to F2P and Pref players? Throw them a bone why don't you?

Also, a supplementary request. Please give us a slider or checkbox that allows us to reduce our normal Xp gain by eg 25% / 50% / 75% or similar.

All the best.
Ah! I knew I was forgetting something. We also removed the subscription requirement from the item.

Ok so I can confirm that in 5.1.2 on 2/28 we will be reintroducing the vendor which sells the White Acute Module. It will work slightly different than last time in that instead of only suppressing bonus story XP, it will suppress all XP earned up to 2.5x (to cancel out the event bonus). Also, we are working to "bake it into the event" so that in the future anytime we run a bonus to XP, the vendor and module will be available as an option for those who don't want the bonus XP.

Thanks everyone.

My goal is to get you an answer today if possible. Just to set an expectation though, if we make this change it will require a patch. That means the next opportunity to make the fix would likely be 5.1.2 at the end of the month.

I am hoping to have a definitive answer today, I will let you know!

I made that joke to Tait when he made the post, straight to off-topic .

It is impossible to replace our Taiters!

As Tait mentioned, his responsibilities are only in part on the Community team so it isn't quite as simple as just hiring a new person for that role. In the short term, his Community team functions such as patch notes and maintenance messaging will go to me. Looking forward we will look at how to handle those responsibilities. Whether that means hiring someone new or shifting it to someone internally, we'll see.

PS - Be afraid, maintenance times will never be correct ever again. Timezones are my weakness.

And am I the only one who finds it sad that a Development Director's first and only post on this forum is to make a "Can I have your stuff" joke?

I also may have been here as Server Droid in the past, but shhh! If you ever watch live streams and they throw a question back to the team as they're not sure - I'll normally have Tait or Keith post in chat for me. So I am around, just not in name.

I decided to break character for Tait, cause he deserves the love
