Hi folks,

Sorry to read that you have an issue with the game on Steam. Here is a workaround which helped players with the same issue:
  • Steam Settings - Downloads - Clear Download Cache Then you will re-log and that will make the patch ready to download.

Stuck in Quickplay Mode

Hello everyone!

It is our pleasure to say that Game Update 6.2 'Echoes of Vengeance' is now live! Players will discover what happened to Satele Shan and her followers ship in our latest story update, Echoes of Oblivion. For those who are looking for new challenges, jump into the "Spirit of Vengeance" Flashpoint to help Shae Vizla fight against renegade Mandalorians and save her flagship. Along with those additions, were introducing a new Login Rewards system, a redesigned Emote Window, another batch of the Ranked Replica rewards, and more!

As I discussed previously on the Forums, we have two new music tracks scheduled to be released on YouTube later this week. Here is the schedule:
  • Splinter Of The Minds Eye December 12th
  • The Spirit Of Vengeance December 13th

Both of those are scheduled to get published on YouTube at 12:00pm CST (6:00pm GMT) on their respective days. Once they're published, I'll make those bullet points link directly to them.

Furious Gladiator Assault Cannon Graphics broken? 6.2

Stuck in "quick play mode" after patch. Download done, but I can't play my characters

As mentioned above, our team is currently looking into it. In the meantime, here are a few potential workarounds which helped other players resolve the issue.
  • Launch the game as an admin: Right Click > Run as administrator
  • Perform a bitraider repair:
    1. Open your SW:TOR game folder.
      • 32-bit Windows - C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\
      • 64-bit Windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\
    2. Click on the bitraider folder and press Delete.
    3. Start the launcher again and log in.
    4. Wait for the launcher to repair itself and update your game.
  • Use the repair tool: SW:TOR launcher troubleshooting guide
  • Change the compatibility mode: Desktop Icon > Properties > Compatibility > Run in Compatibility mode: Change from Windows 10 to XP SP 3

Thank you for the report concerning the fact that you're blocked after the cinematic following the fight with "Troya Ajak" in the Spirit of Vengeance Flashpoint.
