Cannot get crafting materials required for 246 gear

This bug was found with the Advanced Versatile Barrel 54, extracted from a purple mainhand out of a T4 Command Crate.
Good catch! The bug is a little different than it may seem at first. It is our intent that the Tier 4 crafting will become available in a future Game Update (most likely 5.3). The actual bug is that you shouldn't have been able to RE the T4 pieces right now. This means you will be lacking some components until that update is made in the future.

Thanks for the report.

Game Update 5.2 - Known Issues

Here are the current known issues for GU 5.2:
  • The Daily Missions on Iokath are not affected by the Planetary Mission highlight bonus from Galactic Command.
  • If you change appearance while on Iokath it will not be updated in Iokath cutscenes until you leave the planet and return.
  • If you try to engage in an activity with a member of the opposite base faction which is normally not allowed (such as a Guild invite) you may receive a non-specific error message.
  • While you are in a vehicle (such as a walker) on Iokath, if you switch from a PvE to PvP instance (or vice versa), you will lose that form.
  • Main Story Missions on Iokath are rewarding less Command XP than intended.
  • Some abilities for the Iokath forms (such as the Missile Turret) are missing tooltip descriptions.
  • If you group queue from Iokath via group finder into an Operation, Flashpoint, or Uprising, hitting return to medcenter may remove you from the group and return you to Iokath.
  • Activating an Iokath form (such as a walker) while you have a temporary ability bar active will cause your temporary abilities to cease working and you may receive a non-specific error message.
  • The Jundland Dewback has no icon in the unclaimed items section of the Cartel Market.

Did anything change? That's still on the notes.
I just added a note at the very end about PvP bolster also being updated to account for Tier 4. Otherwise it looks like these notes are final. I will let you know if anything else changes between now and tomorrow, but I am not expecting any more updates.

I will get messaging up this morning. Right now it is looking more like normal maintenance time as opposed to the earlier time we had for 5.2 last week. I will have more info later today.

2017 Orlando Cantina Tour Experience & Photos

I wanted to share my first Cantina Tour experience with all of you guys and gals here... I flew in from Los Angeles for Star Wars Celebration 2017 in Orlando, FL... and ended up leaving a day early because of how poorly organized the show was this year.**

However! BioWare was the silver lining! The Old Republic Cantina night was the best experience in Orlando! A big 'thank you' to the BioWare staff who made me and my friends feel right at home and made themselves available for questions and pictures! Thanks again for everything! Hope to visit another Cantina again in the future! Thanks for caring about your fans and subscribers!

**For inquiring minds: Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015 was an amazing show (A+). But, this year would have been better experienced sitting at home and watching the live streams. From queue & wristband nightmares, very low inventory for heavily promoted items to bad signage and bizarre security checks, the show felt like it was run by third graders. Waiting 8+ hours to get into an overflow room to watch a live stream (with technical difficulties) that could have been watched from the hotel, sums up the experience. You don't rent a 7,000,000 sq ft convention center, then set up a tiny panel stage that everyone wants to see and only seats a couple thousand attendees...
Some great pictures in here! Thank you for coming to the Cantina and I am glad to hear you had a good time .
