Hey folks,

I have some information regarding the current issues with search on the GTN that I wanted to share. First off, the GTN issues will not be fixed with tomorrow's patch, 4.0.4. Now with that being said, we do think that we have started to isolate what is causing search to not work for some items.

I am going to post all of those details tomorrow, and we are also going to ask for your help in gathering information. I am sure you will ask, why wait until tomorrow? Well, we believe the issue is related to whenever a server comes online. Since we have a maintenance occurring tomorrow, it is possible, even likely, that some information will change. Tomorrow after the maintenance I will explain exactly what we think is happening and what information you can provide to help us work towards a fix. I wanted to make sure you all knew we are still actively working on it, especially since there wasn't a fix listed in the patch notes.

4.0.4 was always intended to be a small patch. 4.1 will be considerably larger.

Good question!

In talking with the team, they have been making quite a few changes to the Cartel Market and packs since 4.0 launched. There are even more changes coming when the new pack launches in February.

As a part of those changes, the decision was made that BSG packs will now be consistent with the shipment packs in that they will be embargoed after a period of time. We do realize this change may be sudden but it is all a part of the evolving nature of the changes the team has been making to the Cartel Market.

I hope that clears up any confusion.

During the month of December, it was our goal to run all of our recurring events week over week. Unfortunately we hit a bug related to our scheduling and some of them didnt run properly, including the Rakghoul Plague. We have isolated the issue and will have it fixed in Patch 4.0.4 on Tuesday. With that, we wanted to adjust the event schedule for January to give everyone an opportunity to run all of our events that they missed in December. Here is our updated event schedule for January:
  • 1/12 1/19: Relics of the Gree
  • 1/19 1/26: Rakghoul Plague Tatooine
  • 1/26 2/2: Bounty Contract Week

Hey folks,

In early December we took the BSG packs off of the Cartel Market to coincide with the launch of the Strategy Alliance Pack. This certainly raised some questions on when they would be returning. We are going to be bringing the BSG packs back to the Market next Tuesday, January 12th, for a limited time. The BSG packs will remain on the Cartel Market for one week, before being embargoed on Tuesday, January 19th.

BSG packs will be treated similarly to other previous grand packs, we will be embargoing them but they are likely to return for limited periods in the future. If you want to get yourself some BSG packs, next week will be the time to do it before they become embargoed.

Hey folks,

One of the things we intend to do more regularly this year are livestreams. First off, our next livestream still be next week on Thursday, January 14th from 4 - 4:30 PM CST. This will be a Producer Livestream with Ben Irving to talk about what is going on in the game, and what is coming up. Later this month we will then do a story focused stream with Charles Boyd. This stream will occur on Thursday, January 28th from 4 - 4:30PM CST. This stream will talk about where the story of Fallen Empire is currently, and where it is going.

Our plan for the next few months will follow this format. A Producer Livestream with Ben will be on the second Thursday of the month. Two weeks later, Charles Boyd will talk through the story of Fallen Empire. This way each month we can talk a bit about the status of the game, upcoming changes, etc. And then separately focus on Chapters and the story of SWTOR.

I will be updating the Twitch page to reflect the schedule for the next few months. Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone,

We have seen quite a few reports about the Romance system being broken, and I wanted to clarify a few things. A number of the issues being reported are not, in fact, bugged.

The big one is Iresso. While Iresso is not alone in not acknowledging your romance, he has become the name surrounding the whole situation. In this case, there is a bug the romance variables for some of the pre-KOTFE companions are being improperly assessed, leading to the appearance that they arent romanced even if they are. This fix is scheduled for 4.1 but is not finalized yet. What should have occurred is that when you completed Chapter I of Fallen Empire, you would receive a mail from your romance. We believe that this issue is also affecting pre-KOTFE content as well; please let us know once the fix is live if you notice any issues. It is worth pointing out that this change is not retroactive: if you have already started Fallen Empire, you will not receive the letter.

I have also seen mention of not being able to romance one of the new characters (Lana, Theron, Koth) being a bug. As far as we can tell, this is not bugged at this time. In order to romance these characters, you must consistently choose flirt options with them throughout KOTFE (having a relationship with Theron or Lana back in Shadow of Revan also contributes to their romances, but is not required) and you must choose a particular option in Chapter IX to pursue a full romance with one of them. If anyone finds that this is not the case for their character, definitely let us know!

As for Courting gifts, we are aware that they are only able to be consumed by Nico Okarr. At first we thought he was just greedy, but we found out its because of the change from Affection to Influence, and the Courting Gifts not making the appropriate swap. This is also scheduled for Game Update 4.1.

Just to alleviate any concerns, we are here. There will be information on upcoming live streams, patch release dates, and more, coming soon. I am hoping to get some details out before the end of the week.

I removed the stickies because they were for announcements that were no longer relevant (the FAQ articles moved) or for older blog content (the Alliance). No alarm needed, I just did a little 2016 house cleaning. Before you know it there will be more stickies to occupy the top of a General Discussion near you
