On both of those topics my goal is to either get you the information this week, or at least an update on timing. I am still hopeful to start getting you Class changes this week, and that the S8 blog will go live.

If either turns out to not be the case I will let you know tomorrow! These have taken a little longer than expected but I am trying to keep you apprised each step of the way.

Hope this will help you understand why, and that you can find a good solution to our problems.
For the specific Guild issues youve raised, we would need to ensure the entire Guild, their Flagship/decorations, Bank/Tabs/items, and Stronghold/decorations remain 100% intact. The goal would be for the Guild members to notice absolutely nothing different and this means any returning players would still be in your guild unless you specifically removed them. Bottom line for your Guild would be making sure we protect all your hard work.

The losing of character names is one of the key points we are still discussing. We know theres a variety of issues to resolve including, but not limited to, name collisions, establishing a priority system, purging of old names beforehand, and players attempting to reserve names. We all have character names we want to preserve, so this is a key factor in the overall decision.

Hey folks,

Thank you to everyone who sent us logs overnight, it has been very helpful for the team. It appears that in the vast majority of cases, it is users who are currently using Windows Vista or XP. In either case, we are investigating possible solutions to allow you to get the certs that you need.

Many of you are mentioning the "reddit work-around," this may be a stop-gap solution for now but do know that once the certificate expires on the old launcher you will be unable to play. Again, we are working on a more permanent solution but I wanted to make sure you aware of the impact of the work-around.

More updates as I have them.

We suspect that some of you who are still unable to get into the launcher are dealing with a Windows Certificate issue. We are looking into possible solutions for those of you who are having that issue, especially on older OS such as XP and Vista.

I will pass on more information as I have it.

I talked with the team with all of the information you have put in the thread and there are a few steps we want to ensure you go through. If you are experiencing this issue and you are running the game on WinXP, there may be a separate issue. The team is looking into that now.

If after doing the above you are still not working, please run the launcher.diag.exe file located in your SWTOR directory. You can send the logs to communitysupport@swtor.com.

The launcher issue has been resolved. If you currently have the launcher open you will need to close it and reopen it to receive the new patch. This shouldn't take long and you will then be able to login normally.

One other note. I know many of you are going into "troubleshoot" mode to try to get the issue resolved. Until we clear things up on our side there is nothing you can do to get through the launcher so hold tight! I will let you know when the issue is resolved and if there are any steps you need to take to get in.

We had a launcher patch which was deployed this morning. There was a small issue with the deployment that the team is working through right now. You should be able to get back in soon. I will pass on info as I have it.

Although not a maintenance, something to be aware of is a launcher patch which will occur this week. On Tuesday at 9AM Central we are going to deploy a patch to the SWTOR launcher. This will have no downtime and no effect on gameplay. It just means the first time you login after 9AM Tuesday your launcher will update.

No patch notes or anything for it as there are no changes, just some back-end stuff for the launcher. Again, there is no downtime or gameplay impact.
