This intended player experience path will only apply to new characters not existing ones.

Players that are past the previous quest will still see the briefing scene. Though this does not match up with the choice that was made, these characters' stories will not be impacted, so they can continue on their journey.

Clarifying some info and answering a couple questions that came in from the thread.

Tacticals listed are being removed because their effects moved into Class Ability Packages, are not working as intended, or encouraged negative gameplay such as Go to Sleep and Fanged God Form respectively. Because Class Abilities will be receiving the effects of the Tacticals being removed, new Tacticals will not be added.

Crystal of Nightmare Fury is being removed because players have the ability to become stronger in 7.0 more than they have been able to in previous updates.

The Spoils of War achievements requiring Tacticals that will be removed have been adjusted to no longer require said Tacticals.

The schematics that would be needed to craft Tacticals will not be able to be purchased from Kai Zykken.

French and German translations of the listed items have been created.

Hi everyone,

Follow up question specifically for players who were in a working state before the update was rolled out and is now experiencing issues with the launcher.

Did the game crash while you were on the most recent phase of PTS? Even if you were able to get past the launcher, were you able to play on PTS?

Another reminder to please keep your posts related to giving us the info we are requesting.

Hi Mckor,

I am aware of what the current issue is. We are troubleshooting various user cases and I am requesting information from players who were fine before the update and whether or not they were able to play on PTS when it was live. I am not asking if people can connect to PTS now. I am asking about a past experience to help the team gather data to find a solution to a live issue. Please only post if you have relevant information to report in this thread. I would like to keep this thread as clean as possible so we can track all the reports coming in and we can pull necessary info quickly and efficiently.

Items that will be removed at 7.0

In order to help players prepare for Legacy of the Sith, we wanted to let you know about what will be happening to items that will be removed at the launch of 7.0. This serves as a general clean up of items that were tied to Renown, Social Points, and 6.0 gearing. The following items will be converted into credits upon the player logging in after 7.0 maintenance. All the items listed below will be converted to 100 credits unless otherwise noted.

We are still troubleshooting this issue. The team has asked if DxDiag and/or crash dump files could be provided if possible.
  1. Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time.
  2. Type in ‘DxDiag’ and press ‘OK’.
    • After this step, you may see DirectX Diagnostic Tool "Do you want to check if your drivers are digitally signed? To check your drivers, Windows might connect to the Internet, but doesn't send personal information about your computer." You will be prompted to select Yes or No. Selecting either should not matter for this case.
  3. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool box.
    • Please wait for the progress bar to finish before moving to step 4
  4. At the bottom of the box is a ‘Save All information’ button. Press it.
  5. This will open a ‘Save As’ box. Please ensure the text file is named ‘DxDiag’.
  6. Save this to your desktop.
  7. Open the saved file, hit Ctrl+A (select all), and then Ctrl+C (copy).
  8. Paste that information at the bottom of your post. Please use code or spoiler tags. If you don’t use these then your DXDiag will fill up the page making it hard to navigate your thread.

Alder Lake Issue Fix

Hi folks,

A fix has been deployed for the Alder Lake issue that has been preventing certain players from launching the game. Players with a 12th generation Intel CPU (ex: i7-12700K Processor Alder Lake) have been impacted by this issue.

For players already on Alder Lake, they will need to download and run the Launcher Repair Utility tool. Note: This will not require a reinstall of the entire game. When asked where to install, instead of using the default folder, choose:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic or the location where you have installed the game.
For players who have not yet upgraded to Alder Lake or use Steam, nothing needs to be done manually on their side. Their launcher will auto-patch to the version that has the fix. This should require little to no time to auto-patch.
